Kia Ora
Just a short notice to follow up on matters flagged in last week’s monthly update.
As predicted if we stayed in Level 3, the fencing of the Theatre site has not got underway today.
Construction work is allowed under Level 3, this delay is a function of logistical challenges arising from the situation.
The new date for the site fencing can now be confirmed - Tuesday next week, 19 October. It is expected this will proceed then even if Hamilton remains at Level 3.
A reminder that the installation of the site fencing will result in the following changes in the immediate area (subject to some confirmations by Hamilton City Council).
Closure of the footpath and the left lane of Sapper Moore-Jones Place adjacent to the site boundary, whilst maintaining segregation to the public right-of-way.
Closure of the Victoria St footpath and parking bays directly in front of the site.
Closure of Embassy Park.
Street furniture removals.
The stairway to the lower riverside footpath at the bottom of Sapper Moore-Jones Place will stay open.
As ever thanks for your patience and understanding.
