Teenaa koutou and welcome to the Paenga-whāwhā - April 2023 edition of Waikato Regional Theatre Construction Update.

March provided us with some beautiful days and significant progress has been made on site.

Progress on site

Highlights from March.

The completion of:

  • erection of the first section of shear wall

  • over 750 tonnes of concrete poured

  • mock balcony front completed

  • livening of transformer in Sapper Moore-Jones Place.

     

The commencement or continuation of:

  • installation of structural steel

  • pouring of the foundation slabs

  • excavation activities.

 

Significant events coming up

The following progress is expected to occur in April:

  • first stages of installation of the composite floor

  • shear wall construction

  • backfill activities.

 

Overall Programme

Completion of the building is now set for the fourth quarter of 2024.

The project’s construction timeline is otherwise currently under review and a new Programme will be issue in due course.
