Teenaa koutou and welcome to the first Waikato Regional Theatre Newsletter for 2023.

This is arriving in your inbox earlier than was promised in the last issue, as the information is ready to go. It is also a briefer update than usual, though works on site are back in full swing and progressing well.

Finally, please note the update to the Overall Programme below.

Progress on site

Highlights from January 2023 include the following.

The completion of:

  • the new hoarding wrap on Victoria Street

  • the transformer pad and storm and wastewater connections in Sapper Moore-Jones Place

  • balcony prototype.

The commencement or continuation of:

  • excavation activities

  • construction of the raft slabs foundations.

 

Significant events coming up

The following progress is expected to occur in February.

  • completion of the excavation

  • installation and connection of the transformer on Sapper Moore-Jones Place

  • preparation of façade for structural steel connections.

 

Overall Programme

Completion of the building is now set for the fourth quarter of 2024.   

The project’s construction timeline is otherwise currently under review and a new Programme will be issued in due course.
