Kia Ora

Welcome to the Waikato Regional Theatre Construction Update for June 2022.

The last month of autumn saw progress across multiple areas of the Theatre project site, notably across demolition and infrastructure, as outlined below.

Wastewater redirection works have kicked off with active monitoring by kaitiaki and Heritage New Zealand. This oversight will continue to ensure due diligence and that any archaeological discoveries are appropriately handled.

Meanwhile, the WEL network team have started their work by removing the transformer on Sapper Moore-Jones Place – pleasing to note there were no reports of any unscheduled power disruptions by the relevant business and residents.

With winter now upon us, the project team hope that everyone stays well and warm.
